Nicole is back!
Great serve, powerful groundstrokes and an unbeliveable fighting spirit!
It was a great match today!
Chakvetadze was a bit better in the 1st set and Nicole was only able to stay in the match because of her serve!
But from the middle of the 2nd set Nicole dominated the match and didn't have any problems to win it in the 3rd with 6:3.
She will now play Jie Zheng (CHN)! Although Zheng is only ranked as no. 133 it's gonna be a tough match for sure. In the 3rd Round she defeated Ana Ivanovic from Serbia in straight sets. |

Nicole cruises to 4th Round

Nicole defeated Casey Dellacqua in the 3rd Round of Wimbledon without real problems in straight sets with 6:2 6:4.
She seemed to be in a acceptable form again, so let's see if she is able to beat Anna Chakvetadze (RUS/8) too.  |

Nicole advanced to the 3rd Round by beating Samantha Stosur 6:2 0:6 6:4 and will now play Stosur's compatriot Casey Dellacqua (WTA 43). |

Nicole advances to the 2nd Round

Nicole reached the 2nd Round by defeating her compatriot Zuzana Ondraskova in straight sets 6:2 6:2.
Next up is Samantha Stosur who overcame Raluca-Ioana Olaru with the same result. She is a better grass court player than Ondraskova for sure, but she has never reached the 3rd Round at The All England Lawn Tennis und Croquet Club. |

Nicole to play Ondraskova in Wimbledon

The draw for the 3rd Grand Slam Tournament of the year had been announced today.
Nicole will play her 28 years old compatriot Zuzana Ondraskova (WTA 186) in the first round.
Although she is still not in the form everyone (including herself) expects, we can hope that she overcomes some rounds as the draw seems to be quite good. |
